Worldwide Missions
Ways To Get Involved
We believe that God has given the church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As ambassadors of Christ, we must use all available means to go to the foreign nations and not wait for them to come to us. The fundamental purpose for Cornerstone’s missions program is to propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. We do that through foreign missionaries, domestic church planters, and missions organizations. At Cornerstone Baptist Church, we encourage our members to get involved in our missions program in the following ways:

We believe that every Christian, as a steward of that portion of God’s wealth entrusted to him, is obligated to financially support his local church. We believe that God has established the tithe as a basis for giving, but that every Christian should also give other offerings sacrificially and cheerfully to the support of the church, the relief of those in need, and the spread of the Gospel. We use Faith Promise Missions as our means of supporting missions around the world in the spread of the Gospel. As the name suggests, Faith Promise Missions giving is based on a faith commitment. Our members are challenged during the annual missions conference to exercise faith in making a one-year, weekly commitment to the church’s missions program. This is not a pledge to the church, but rather a commitment to God and world missions. The church plans its commitments to our supported missionaries for the next year based on these anonymous commitments.
